Wilhemena Patterson, 46, of Lower Brule died Monday, July 14 at her home in Lower Brule. Burial was in the Hill Church Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Wilhelmena J.

June Ann (Pope) Sorenson, 87, was born at home, in Wagner, to Everett and Ethel (Carpenter) Pope on December 16, 1937. She passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of June 14.

Joanne Mary Kirchgasler, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 20 at the age of 87. A beautiful blonde baby girl, Joanne was the first born to Walter and Sophia Peltier on March 18, 1938 in Duluth Minnesota.

Betty Lou Durham Bruner, 94 of Lakes Andes, went to her heavenly home Monday, June 30, at Lake Andes HealthcareCenter. Memorial mass was Monday, July 14 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Lake Andes. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Lake Andes.

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 16, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Lake Andes. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery in Pickstown, with military honors. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m.

Althebert “Bootie” Zephier, 82, of Marty died Friday, July 4, at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner. Funeral services were, Wednesday, July 9, at the Greenwood Presbyterian Church in Greenwood. Burial was in the Greenwood Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Greenwood, with military honors.

Bernice Susan Tolsma was born October 13, 1931 west of Springfield in the Perkins area, the daughter of Peter and Annie (Odens) Tjeerdsma. She died Monday, May 5, 2025 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Tyndall, after an accident on the farm.

Betty Lou Bruner, 94, of Lake Andes, went to her heavenly home Monday, June 30, at Lake Andes Healthcare Center. Memorial mass will be Monday, July 14 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Lake Andes. Visitation will be Sunday, July 13 from 6 to 7 p.m.

Wilma Ashes, 77, of Lake Andes died Thursday, June 26, in Portland, OR. Funeral services were Saturday, July 5, at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Burial is in the Greenwood Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Greenwood.Wake services will begin Thursday at the White Swan Community Center.

Kristy Selwyn, 44, of Wagner died Saturday, June 28, at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner, the result of an automobile accident. Funeral services were Wednesday, July 2, at the Wagner National Guard Armory. Burial was in the Greenwood Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Greenwood.
