The Wagner Red Raiders softball team hosted the Beresford Lady Watchdogs on Monday, April 10th for their home opener. It was a beautiful day to showcase their new complex. The first score on the board was brought in by Lydia Yost.

Wagner and Parkston matched up in an exciting backand- forth game that saw Wagner coming away with a 8-6 victory. Wagner trailed 6-5 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Carter Cournoyer doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Avon had 8 archers that attended the 2023 state NASP tournamentattheBlackHills State University in Spearfish on Friday, March 31st. The tournament is sponsored by the South Dakota Game Fish and Parks. Categories included were Bullseye and 3D animal targets.

Congratulations to the Parkston Area Special Olympics basketball team. They placed third in their division at the State Tournament in Sioux Falls on March 25-26. Great job athletes, unified partners and coaches. Back row: Tessa, Colten, Rylee, Tyler, Zachary, Tristen, James, Connor.

The Wagner Varsity Softball team headed to Gayville-Volin for their season opener on Thursday March, 30th. The combination of nerves and excitement were evident amongst the girls and coaches for this first game.

The Wagner JV Softball team defeated Gaville-Volin 10-9 on Thursday March 30th, after taking the lead back late in the game. The four run lead in the first inning was just enough to hold off the Gayville-Volin Raiders when they battled back to tie it up in the 3rd.

The Gregory Athletics Club hosted the 30th Annual East - West Shoot-Out on Monday, March 20, 2023. The event features area high school seniors and gives them the chance to have a night of fun on the court playing together with friends, who are sometimes rivals during the regular season.

The Red Raider boys finished the 2022-23 season with an 8-13 record. The boys started out strong winning 4 of their first 5 and played well throughout the season against good competition. The boys had 3 players qualify for academic all-state.
