Synnora Wilbur has been a part of the Andes Central School District and Lake Andes Community for the past four years. She is currently the Andes Central middle and high school counselor.

The 2025 Wagner American Legion Sweepstakes grand prize of $5000 was awarded to Sam Grosz by Commander Clayton Rados.

At March’s monthly city council meeting, Jodi Dvorak on behalf of the South-Central Water Development District presented Mayor Tammy Thornton with a check for $30,000 that the city will use toward the engineering fees that are a part of the Highway 46 construction project.

President Jordan Weber welcomed all members of the Wagner Rotary to the March 5th meeting. Jordan offered up a prayer in memory of Scott McAdaragh, a Rotary member for many years who sadly passed away. We will remember Scott and pray for comfort for his family.

At March’s monthly meeting of the Wagner City Council one of the first topics that was brought before the council was Jerrod Rolston’s request to have a city area dedicated for yard debris disposal to create a compost for residents.

Dennis Rucker is being honored as Lake Andes’ March Veteran of the Month. Not only is Rucker a Vietnam War Veteran, but he also served during Operation Desert Storm. Rucker enlisted in the Army on January 30, 1969 when he was 18 years old.

Wagner’s own #16, Ravyn Medricky and her club volleyball team recently qualified to play in the USA Volleyball (USAV) National Tournament that will be held in Dallas, Texas on June 30th through July 3rd. Ravyn plays middle blocker for the Kairos 16 Alpha club out of Sioux Falls.

Terence Krcil has been a volunteer firefighter for the Wagner Fire Department for the past six years. What drew Terence to wanting to become a firefighter was that he wanted to be able to give back to the Wagner community in some way.
