DANGEL COMPETES AT 4-H NATIONAL SHOOTING SPORTS COMPETITION

Luke Dangel attended the 4-H National Shooting Sports competition on June 23rd through June 28th in Grand Island, NE at the Heartland Public Shooting Park. Luke is the son of Mike and Tina Dangel and is a junior at Andes Central. Luke first joined 4-H when he was five years old as a Cloverbud.

INNOVATIVE LEADER OF THE YEAR

Clint Nelson, Elementary School Principal from Andes Central School District, was honored as the Innovative Leader of the Year.

KOURT BECOMES CERTIFIED EMT

Kennedy Kourt recently took her Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) exam on June 6th and passed to receive her EMT certification. Kennedy is the daughter of Trista and Dustin Kourt and a 2024 Wagner Community School graduate.

PITCH, HIT & RUN A BIG SUCCESS

35 kids gave it their all in a local Pitch, Hit and Run Contest in Wagner July 11. They pitched, batted and ran in hopes to advance to the next level. The highest scores from all local contests will move to a regional competition and possibly the finals. Best of luck to all of our local winners!

10 Years Ago – 2014 Wagner Girls Softball teams (18U and 14U) participated in the State Softball Tournament. Pete and Connie (Uecker) Murphy celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. The Fort Randall Casino held their annual King and Queen of the Hill contest.

Rotary News

President Jordan Weber presided over his first regular meeting of his Rotary Year by leading the members in prayer. Guests of Jeff Doom were Amy Doom and his mother Jeanette. Kristina Ymker was a guest of Amanda Bechen.

SESSIONS BY THE LAKE TO RETURN TO WAGNER IN AUGUST

“Sessions By The Lake” will once again return to the park at Wagner Lake beginning with the first of three follow up concerts to the “605 Unity Jam”. The first concert is on Thursday, August 1 starting at 6:30 and ending at 8:30.

AVON STUDENTS COMPETE AT HOSA

Last week, this group of students competed in Houston at the HOSA International Leadership Conference. Competing were:Erica Cahoy in clinical lab science, and McKenna Kocmich, Courtney Sees and Caleb Wallingaand Landon Thury in HOSA Quiz Bowl.

'OPEN CLASS SHOW' TO BE HELD AT ACHIEVEMENT DAYS
