Greer Unit #11, American Legion Auxiliary held their monthly meeting June 20 at the Post home with eight members present. The meeting was called to order by President Linda Youngbluth. The opening prayer was read by Chaplain Margie Stone.

10 Years Ago - 2014 The Wagner Area Foundation awarded community grants for 2014. The children of Melvin and Janet Horner invited the community to come celebrate the couple’s 50th wedding anniversary. A card shower was requested for the 80th birthday of Fred Kocer.

More than 3,300 students were recognized for their outstanding academic performance over the sping 2024 semester at South Dakota State University by being named to the dean's list.

10 Years Ago – 2014 A new track was laid at the Avon High School by Fisher Track. The 66th Annual Czech Days celebration will be held this weekend. Cheylee Nagel competed at the Jr. High Rodeo in Des Moines in goat tying. Erica donated 12 inches of her hair to Locks of Love.

The Wagner Community School high school basketball coaches put on a 3rd through 12th grade basketball camp May 28th through the 31st. Coaches that were involved in the camp included Mike Koupal, Josh Davies, Tera Koupal and Courtney Mack.
