AVON SCHOOL DISTRICT NEW STAFF SPOTLIGHT - ELIZABETH BRANDT

The Avon School District has hired Elizabeth “Liz” Brandt as a paraprofessional for the 2024-2025 school year. Liz is looking forward to being able to assist the students and staff with classroom needs. She is hoping to being a positive part of each student’s day.

ANDES CENTRAL SCHOOL

Andes Central re-hired DiMera Swanson as their new third grade teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. DiMera had originally taught second grade for four years at Andes Central. She then took a teaching position for the 2022-2023 school year at Flandreau Public School where she taught fourth grade.

LAKE ANDES FIREMEN RECEIVE ELECTRIC VEHICLE TRAINING

Three Lake Andes Firefighters attended a one-day electric vehicle training class in Garretson on Friday, August 23. Fire Chief, Rod Bergin, Jeremiah Freidel and Jacob Wenzlaff attended training that focused on electric vehicle fires and accidents.

Wagner Saddle Club held their annual Labor Day Rodeo Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1 at the Wagner Rodeo Grounds. Wagner Saddle Club members are: President - John Havranek, Vice-President - Angie Eitemiller and Secretary/Treasurer - Katie Bartunek.
