This week, the 4th legislative week, we worked through the majority of the remaining agency budget hearings, with only the secretary of state and a few agency return hearings left.
What a perfect time to shine! The hard work this season and the special attention to detail at practice this past couple of weeks has surely paid off this evening! Coach McNinch and I are extremely proud of these girls. They improved their team score by just over 11 points this season.
This past week, I started out in a new job. After six years serving as your lieutenant governor, I had the opportunity to shorten my title. I’d like to take some time to share some things you might not know about me. I have a wonderful wife named Sandy who I have been married to for nearly 44 years.
I am very impressed with all the emails and letters regarding potential legislation and how it could, if implemented, impact your life. While time consuming, I am sure to read them all. As stated last week we do have a new Governor and Lieutenant Governor.
Ava Lynn Cline, the daughter of Michael and Nancy Cline, was born on April 18th, 2006. Ava is the sister of Airen, Arianna, Airis, and Ariel Cline. Some of Ava’s favorite things to do are drawing and playing video games.
William Scott Swier was born on July 19th, 2006 to Scott and Theresa Swier. He has three sisters: Sarah, Kate, and Molly. Some hobbies Will has are watching YouTube videos, drinking Mt. Dew, and going to A-1 for chicken strips, gummy worms, and pop.
Our other AHS Athlete of the Week is Hope Kemnitz, a junior wrestler at AHS. Hope started wrestling because of a family friend, and after her first all-girls open mat that she went to, she fell in love with the sport.
Jamisen Pelton, a junior at AHS, is one of our Pirate Athletes of the Week. When we asked Jamie why he started playing basketball, he responded that his dad used to be a good player, which inspired him to go out for basketball in the 7th grade.
