The Awana Clubs at First Baptist Church will again be having their Trick or Treat So Others Can Eat event this year on Wednesday, October 30. Between the times of 6:30 pm and 8:00 pm they will be going through the streets of Avon collecting items to be taken to the Bon Homme Food Pantry in Tyndall.

Andes Central Middle and High School Counselor, Synnora Wilbur, held an Organizational Boot Camp starting Tuesday, September 24th that will be coming to an end on October 15th. The workshop was open to 6th through 12th grade students.

The Boys & Girls Club Youth Football Program recently completed their 24th season of play. The season culminated with the playing of the Boys & Girls Club Super Bowl 24.

Brielle Voigt is the daughter of Gregg and Christena Voigt and the sister of Macy, Jordyn, Tyson, and Riggs. She is an eighth grader at AHS this year, but has been playing volleyball ever since fourth grade. Before that, Brielle was a manager for the Lady Pirates.

Randall’s favorite part about football is seeing the success that a team can have whether it's on or off the field. His favorite parts about football are tackling and hitting people on the field. His favorite hype up song is Fly by Lenny Kravitz and Quavo.

The cross country athlete of the week is Parker Podzimek. Parker’s parents are Kenny and Whitney Podzimek. Parker joined cross country because all of his friends went out. He has been in cross country for four years.

Mylie Faye Bares was born on December 12th, 2006 and is the daughter of Kevin Bares and Jennie Leibel and the sister of Gage and Keely Bares.

Trevor Matthew Eggers is the son of Matt Eggers and Kelly Dierkson, step mom Liz Eggers. Trevor has two sisters, Addy Lavelle and Evie Eggers. His hobbies include singing, basketball, and golf.
