Jon K. Stather, 82, of Dante, died Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at the Dougherty Hospice House inSiouxFalls,surrounded by the love of his family, after a brief illness due to West Nile.In keeping with Jon’s wishes, there will not be a traditional funeral service.

Jane Louise Stimpson, 84, passed peacefully on October 14, 2026 at the Dougherty Hospice House after a long hard fought battle with several health issues. Jane was born at home on their family farm in the river hills near Avon to Howard and Christina Hill on January 27, 1942.

Leon James DeJong, 59, of Avon, was born June 14, 1967, in Tyndall to George and Lorraine (DeBoer) DeJong. He died Saturday, October 10, 2026, surrounded by his family, at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton.

Kay Lynn (Cihak) Kammer, age 76, of Bloomfield, Nebraska, died on Sunday, October 11, 2026 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton.Mass of Christian Burial was October 17 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Yankton with Reverend Tom Anderson officiating.

Eleanor Mary Andersh, 93, of Wagner, daughter of George and Mary (Cuka) Soukup was born on October 6, 1933.

Delores Mae ( Minnaert) Staudenmier passed away peacefully on October 17, 2026, surrounded by her family in Sioux Falls.

Cheryl Namminga died September 30, 2026 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Tyndall. Memorial services were Tuesday, October 6 at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Springfield. Inurnment was in the Emmanuel Reformed Cemetery. Peters Funeral Home of Springfield was in charge of arrangements.

Wilbert Lewis Renner, 95, of Springfield, died Thursday, October 1, 2026 at Springfield Assisted Living Center in Springfield. Funeral services were Wednesday, October 7 at the United Church of Christ in Springfield. Burial was in the Springfield Cemetery, with military honors.

Doris Arlene Kreeger, 81, of Lake Andes, died Sunday, October 4 at the Lake Andes Healthcare Center in Lake Andes. Memorial services were Saturday, October 10 at St. John Lutheran Church in Wagner.

Rita Ann Archambeau, 82, passed away on October 7, 2026, surrounded by the love and care of her family.Rita was born on February 18, 1944, in Colorado, to Robert Horace Scruby and Madeleine Nima Scruby. She grew up in Colorado and graduated from Fort Lupton High School in 1962.
