Dorothy Lillian (Salem) Johnke Pavel, 89, of Council Bluffs, died Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Hansen House in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Funeral services were Monday, October 12 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Lake Andes. Burial was in the Riverview Cemetery in Centerville.

Cheryl Lynn Tames Namminga, 78, of Springfield, died September 30, 2026 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Tyndall. Memorial services were Tuesday, October 6 at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Springfield. Inurnment was in the Emmanuel Reformed Cemetery.

Francis Edward "Frank" Eggers, age 89, went home to be with is Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 13, 2026, after a brief illness. He was born October 2, 1936, in Avon, to Robert and Gladys Eggers. Frank was one of ten siblings and grew up in a large, close-knit family.

Guy R. Cooke, Sr., 76, of Marty, died Thursday, September 17, 2026 at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Funeral services were Monday, September 21 at the Marty Community Center.

Margo Lillian (Stemhagen) Nedved, 85, passed away on August 10, 2026, at Monument Hospice House in Rapid City.A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, August 22 at Knollwood Heights United Methodist Church in Rapid City.

Clarice Deal passed away peacefully under hospice care at her home in rural Tyndall on September 25, 2026. Private family services will be held at a later date.Clarice A. Deal was born April 22, 1939 on the family farm north of Wagner to Harry and Annabelle Cowin Crisman.

Services for Jovanna L. Patterson, 46, of Lake Andes, were Thursday, September 17 at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Burial was in the Hill Church Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Wagner.

Funeral services for Cornelia Marie Tjeerdsma, 90, are 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 24 at the Emmanuel Reformed Church in Springfield. The service will be live streamed on the Emmanuel Reformed Church, Springfield, SD Youtube page. Burial will follow in the Emmanuel Reformed Cemetery.

Bettie Schuler, daughter of Eldon and Ida (Finck) Voigt, was born on the family farm near Avon on March 24, 1938. She passed away on September 12 at the age of 88. Bettie grew up in the Avon area and graduated from Avon High School in 1956.

Marilyn Cahoy, age 77, passed away on September 4, 2026. Her Funeral Mass was Wednesday, September 9 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Tabor, with burial in St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery. Marilyn was born September 18, 1948, to Glen and Marie (Kutilek) Lane.
