Francis Edward "Frank" Eggers, age 89, went home to be with is Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 13, 2026, after a brief illness. He was born October 2, 1936, in Avon, to Robert and Gladys Eggers. Frank was one of ten siblings and grew up in a large, close-knit family. He was also known as "Fritz" to his siblings. 

Frank proudly served his country in the United States Army from April 15, 1960, to May 7, 1962, and remained dedicated through many years of continued service in the Army Reserves. He was employed for many years with the Hillsborough County Clerk of the Circuit Court where he worked as a Computer technician and in the mail center. Frank was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Mary Jhalia Eggers, whom he lovingly cared for over many years. She preceded him in death on March 10, 2017. He was a wonderful bonus father to Mary's six children and a caring grandfather throughout the years. He is survived by two of Mary's children, Morgan (Edna) Fleenor and Terry Scott. He was preceded in death by Curtis Fleenor, Debra Wood, Sandra Dentmon, and Richard Scott. 

Frank was also preceded in death by his parents and siblings James Eggers, Stanley Eggers, Jane Osborne, Ruth Ann Crain, and Ethel Berndt, and is survived by siblings Dave Eggers and wife Carol of Avon, Marjorie Pullin and husband Patrick of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Mary Ann Rucktaeschel of Wagner. In addition, he is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Frank's loving granddaughter and end-of-life caregiver, Shanna Acres, held a special place in his life. Shanna, along with her twins, Jeffrey and Jason, visited him weekly taking him grocery shopping, sharing lunches, and listening to Franks' many stories from years past - visits he truly cherished. 

Frank loved Tampa Bay Buccaneers football and was an avid coin collector, but his greatest passion in life was sharing the Lord Jesus Christ through tract outreach and one-on-one conversations. He was a mighty man of God who deeply loved his faith and was bold in sharing his belief in our Lord and Savior. He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his generosity, his quiet strength, his strong work ethic, and his unwavering faith. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Well done, good and faithful Servant! 

Francis was laid to rest with Military Honors at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell on Wednesday, September 23rd.
