Services for Jovanna L. Patterson, 46, of Lake Andes, were Thursday, September 17 at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Burial was in the Hill Church Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Jovonna was born on December 1, 1979 to Mary Patterson and Cardinal Weston. She died on September 12, 2026. She had six siblings: Nakita Zephier, Shawn Patterson, Sonny Weston, Justin Patterson (deceased), Leslie Drappeau, and Tevin Primeaux.

She grew up in Wagner, but spent some of her younger years living in Utah. Jovonna met Ricky Daugherty in (2001), who she later married. She had eight children: Jesse Patterson (deceased), Dedric Patterson, Jaylee Lul, Kalynn Daugherty, Karlee Patterson, Maddy Daugherty, Kadee Daugherty, and Kendall Daugherty.

Jovonna enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandkids: Darian King, Davis King III, Zaylani Lynn, Marla Patterson, Armani Patterson, Zentaysha Zephier, and Dedrah Patterson.

She liked going for car rides, she loved when her family would all get together and go cookout at the river. She also loved to be jamming out listening to music.

Jovonna was loved and will be missed dearly by all her living children, husband, siblings, and all other friends and relatives.
