Steve H Podzimek, age 98, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at the Majestic Bluffs Hospice House in Yankton.Funeral Mass was Monday, July 13 at St. Vincent’s Catholic Church in Springfield. Burial was in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Dante, with military honors.

Jerry F. Novotny, 81, of Gresham, Oregon, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026. There will be a funeral at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Lake Andes at 11 am July 11. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Nature Conservancy and the Parkinson’s Foundation.

Doris J. Nedved, was born October 9, 1966. She was the fourth of five children born to Franklin and Rose Marie (Stedronsky) Nedved in Armour. She passed away at the VA Hospice Cottage on June 18, 2026, at the age of 59.

Kathleen Selma Peters, born April 17, 1954, in Delmont, joined our heavenly Father on June 26, 2026.Kathleen was the daughter of Elmer Peters and Velda (Permann) Peters. Kathleen grew up in the Delmont Wagner area with brothers Tyrone and Stanley and sister Vicki.

Loren Lee Buchholz (aka Eddie Haskel), 66, of Tripp, passed away June 19th, 2026 at home. Loren was born on July 10th, 1959 in Parkston to Alfred and Josephine (Jensen) Buchholz. His family moved around growing up and went between family farms, Nebraska, and small South Dakota towns.

Carol Ann Pesicka, 90, went to her heavenly home Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at the Wagner Good Samaritan Society in Wagner. Funeral mass was Saturday, June 20 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Armour. Arrangements were by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Armour.
