Ruth M. Sejnoha, 97, of Humboldt, Nebraska, formerly of Mitchell, passed away on Friday, September 12th. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to an organization of your choice to honor Ruth.

Marlene Mae Stepka died on September 13, 2025 at the Good Samaritan Care Center, Tyndall at the age of 84 years. Visitation will be held 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. rosary and wake service Thursday, September 18, at St. Leo Catholic Church in Tyndall.

Visitation for Marcleen Wynia, 91, of Springfield will be Tuesday, September 9 from 1-2 p.m. at Peters Funeral Chapel in Springfield. Burial will follow in the Pioneer Cemetery, rural Springfield.

Funeral services for James Mutschelknaus, 75, of Black Hawk will be held Saturday, September 13 at 10 a.m., at Martinus Lutheran Church, rural Utica. The burial is at Garden of Memories in Yankton. Following the burial will be fellowship at Martinus.

Graveside services for Larry Schacht, 89, of Pickstown will be held Friday, September 12 at 3 p.m. at the Lakeview Cemetery in Lake Andes, with military honors. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for James Mutschelknaus, 75, of Black Hawk will be held Saturday, September 13 at 10 a.m., at Martinus Lutheran Church, rural Utica. The burial is at Garden of Memories in Yankton. Following the burial will be fellowship at Martinus.

Eugene “Gene” Joseph Carda of Rapid City, passed away peacefully on August 29 in the loving care of St. Martins Nursing Home and Monument Health Hospice in Rapid City, at the age of 94. Eugene was born December 4, 1930 in Dante to Jim and Pauline (Melmer) Carda.

Richard Sadler, 83, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, August 18 in San Marcos, Texas. He was born to Dr. Kenneth E. Sadler and Rosemary (Chamberlain) Sadler in Fort Robinson, Nebraska on May 7, 1942. Richard and his three siblings were raised in Wagner.

Godwin Weston, 72, of Wagner died Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Funeral services were were held Thursday, August 28 at the Greenwood Community Center followed by burial in the Greenwood Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Greenwood.

Gerald Czerney, 93, of Wagner was born January 22, 1932 on the river bottom south of Wagner, the son of Margaret Kranig. He died Saturday, August 23, 2025 at the Good Samaritan Society in Tyndall. Gerald attended rural school.
