Funeral services for James William Sellers, 89, of Pickstown were held Friday, August 29 at St. John Lutheran Church in Wagner. Military honors followed his funeral. Burial was Saturday, August 30, at the First Lutheran Cemetery in Brookings.

James William Sellers, 89, of Pickstown was called home to the Lord on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at Avera St. Benedict Health Center in Parkston. Funeral services are Friday, August 29 at 10 a.m., at St. John Lutheran Church in Wagner. Burial will be Saturday, August 30 at 1 p.m.

Annamae Florence Costello was born at home in Wagner on May 25, 1935 to Hugh James Costello and Florence Viola (Whetham) Costello. She died Monday August 11 at the Good Samaritan Society in Corsica. Annamae graduated from Wagner High School in 1954.

Fern Leone Davis, 97, passed from this life in the comfort of her own home on August 6. Fern was born on the family farm nine miles north of Wagner on New Year’s Day, January 1, 1928. She was one of eight children born to Scott and Alma Davis.

Vince Two Eagles, 72, of Wagner, died Monday, July 28 at his home in Wagner. Wake services were Thursday, July 31 at the Wagner National Guard Armory. There was no formal funeral service. Vince was cremated following his services. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of his arrangements.

Verne Lloyd Twitero, age 83, of Wagner was called to his heavenly Father’s arms on Tuesday, August 5 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton. Funeral services were Saturday, August 9 at St. John Lutheran Church in Wagner.

Daniel Archambeau, Sr., 73, of Lake Andes died Monday, July 28 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Funeral services were Saturday, August 2 at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Burial was in St. Phillip’s Episcopal Cemetery, Lake Andes.

Florence V. McGuire, 99, of Jefferson, South Dakota, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at St.
