Robert “Bob” Filipek was born April 14, 1955, the son of William “Bill” ad Dorothy ( McGuire) Filipek. He passed away on September 1, 2024, at ProMedica Hospital in Monroe, MI. A memorial mass will be held in Wagner at St. John’s Catholic Church on August 9, at 10 a.m.

Funeral Service Mass for Bonnie May (Robbennolt) Novak, age 96, of Wagner will be held Friday, August 8 at 10 a.m., at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wagner. Burial is in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday, August 7th from 5:30-7 p.m.

Martha Mae Gengler, 97, was born November 1st, 1927, and passed away July 26, at Good Samaritan Society-St. Martins Village. A beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She was born to James and Emma Moysis in Kimball.

Services for Carl Soulek, 79, of Wagner are Wednesday, July 30 at 10:30 a.m. at the East Lake Andes Lutheran Church. Burial is in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. The funeral will be live-streamed on the East Lake Andes Lutheran Church Facebook page.

Shirley Simms, 77, of Cheyenne, WY died Friday, July 18 at the Life Care Center In Cheyenne, WY. Burial is in the Wagner Cemetery. Shirley Simms was born Sunday, February 9, 1948 to Emil and Lorraine (Smith) Fuchs in Wagner. She was the second of six children.

Wilhemena Patterson, 46, of Lower Brule died Monday, July 14 at her home in Lower Brule. Burial was in the Hill Church Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Wilhelmena J.

June Ann (Pope) Sorenson, 87, was born at home, in Wagner, to Everett and Ethel (Carpenter) Pope on December 16, 1937. She passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of June 14.

Joanne Mary Kirchgasler, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 20 at the age of 87. A beautiful blonde baby girl, Joanne was the first born to Walter and Sophia Peltier on March 18, 1938 in Duluth Minnesota.

Betty Lou Durham Bruner, 94 of Lakes Andes, went to her heavenly home Monday, June 30, at Lake Andes HealthcareCenter. Memorial mass was Monday, July 14 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Lake Andes. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Lake Andes.

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 16, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Lake Andes. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery in Pickstown, with military honors. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m.
