Visitation for Alphonse Gerken, 65, of Wagner, began Wednesday afternoon, January 25 and continued until 12 noon on Friday at the American Legion Hall in Wagner. He was cremated following his visitation. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.

Bruce L. Dejong left us January 7, 2023 due to an accidentsnowmobilingatage 58.BrucewasbornFebruary 18th, 1964 in Springfield. He lefthishometownandmoved to Colorado. Bruce loved cabinetry/building. He was an excellent woodworker andcouldbuildanything;he hadaneyefordetail.

Memorial services for Shanda James were Friday, January 20, at the White Swan Community Center in Lake An-des. Burial was in the Greenwood Presbyterian Cemetery. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Ione Bertsch died on December 14th, 2022 at the age of 99. She was at her home in Irvine, California with her son Dean by her side. She passed away peacefully in her sleep from old age. Her cremated remains will be buried at the Wagner Cemetery later in 2023.

Joyce Broz, age 90, was called home to the Lord on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Sister James Care Center in Yankton. She had recently resided at Sister James Care Center in Yankton. Joyce was born July 28, 1932 to Ben and Anna (Kuhlman) Ailts in Wagner.

Funeral services for Satrese Patterson, 32, of Wagner were held Friday, January 20 at the YST South Housing Community Gym in Wagner. Burial was in Holy Name Episcopal Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Joseph C. Babcock was born in Rapid City on November 28, 1949, the son of Bruce and Helen (Burke) Babcock. He died Friday, January 6, 2023 at his home in rural Wagner. Joe graduated from Hill City High School in 1968. He served for two and a half years in the US Army.

Donna Crichton, 81, of Sioux Falls passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Sioux Falls. Funeral services were Friday, January 20 at Zion Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls.
