Joseph C. Babcock, 73, of Wagner, was born in Rapid City on November 28, 1949, the son of Bruce and Helen (Burke) Babcock. He died Friday, January 6, 2023 at his home in rural Wagner. Joe graduated from Hill City High School in 1968. He served for two and a half years in the US Army.

Joyce Broz, age 90, was called home to the Lord on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Sister James Care Center in Yankton. She had recently resided at Sister James Care Center in Yankton. Joyce was born July 28, 1932 to Ben and Anna (Kuhlman) Ailts in Wagner.

Donna Crichton, 81, of Sioux Falls passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Sioux Falls. Funeral services were Friday, January 20 at Zion Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls.

Funeral services for Satrese Patterson, 32, of Wagner were held Friday, January 20 at the YST South Housing Community Gym in Wagner. Burial was in Holy Name Episcopal Cemetery, rural Wagner. Wake services began Tuesday at the gym. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

John “Jack” Wayne Schaefer, 78, of Mitchell, died Sunday, January 8, 2023, at his home in Mitchell surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services are pending under the direction of Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Anna Margaret 'Peg' Boese, daughter of John and Catherine (Mitchell) McElhaney was born December 19, 1925 in Michigan and died on January 7, 2023 at theCentervilleCare&Rehab Center in Centerville at the age of 97.

Pauline Efta died on Saturday, December 31, 2022, just a month shy of her 97th birthday, at Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk, NE. Pauline was born February 7, 1926, in Dante, to Carl and Dorothy Anderson and graduated from Wagner High School in 1943.

Joe died Friday, January 6, 2023 at his home in rural Wagner. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wagner. Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Black Hills National Cemetery.

Funeral services for Larry Peters were Monday, January 9 at St. John Lutheran Church in Wagner. Burial was in the Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home was Wagner is in charge of arrangements. Larry John Peters was born December 27, 1950 in Wagner, the son of Herman Sr.
