Week three of the 2020 racing season saw history made and more first-time winners this past Friday night at Wagner Speedway. With 17 features events over three weeks of racing, there have been 16 different winners.

The Census figures for Charles Mix County have improved since the article that the Wave printed on June 17th. As of Friday the 26th, Charles Mix County now shows that 40% of residents have completed the census. Lake Andes has had a major improvement from 9.3% to 27%.

Wed like to thank our children for putting on a card shower for our 60th Wedding Anniversary. We feel so blessed to be remembered and thought of with cards, phone calls, facebook messages, flowers and gifts. Family and friends are so special during this time of social distancing.

Greer Post #11 American Legion held its monthly meeting June 18th at the Post Home. Commander Robert Kucera called the members to attention. Chaplain Donald Kotab gave the invocation, which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Perhaps the oldest book in my office is a maroon hardcover copy of the South Dakota Guide. Published in 1938, the book was a project of the Depression-era Works Progress Administration.
