Dear Editor, I am writing in regard to The City of Wagner Snow Removal Ordinance. This ordinance states that sidewalks should have snow removed “within a reasonable time” once the snow has fallen for those along Highway 46/50 and within 24 hours elsewhere.

It is hard to believe that 1/3 of our session is already done. Week 3 went fast as we worked on issues that stimulated a lot of discussion. As of January 29, 275 bills have been introduced for this session, 158 in the House and 117 bills in the Senate.

This week in Ag Committee we had a report from Secretary Hepler, secretary of the Game Fish and Parks. He reported licenses from all hunting decreased in recent years. This is a nationwide trend that they are trying to address by providing from habitat, walk-in areas and game production areas.

The third week of session has finished and we are now about 1/3 of the way done with the 2019 Legislative Session. This week was the end of unlimited bill introduction and as of this writing we have 219 House Bills and 148 Senate Bills.

Rotary club met Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at noon for lunch with meeting to follow. Rotary members and guests enjoyed a meal consisting of breaded pork chop, broccoli/cauliflower medley, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls, cole slaw, and dessert.
