Wagner Raiders at Burke XC Invitational Results.

The Wagner volleyball team hosted Hanson on Tuesday, September 26th. The Red Raiders defeated the Beaverettes 25-14, 25-20, and 25-20. Outside hitter Ashlyn Koupal led the attack throwing down 12 kills along with Kya Kjeldgaard putting down 10, Aubrey Medricky added 8 and Ravyn Medricky had 6.

The Wagner Volleyball team traveled to Colton to take on the Tri-Valley Mustangs on Saturday, September 30th. The Lady Red Raiders showed perseverance and rallied to win in 3 straight sets with scores of 25-18, 25-18, and 27-25.

Avon traveled to Colome September 21st and brought home the win 3-0. Serving leader was Jordyn Voigt with 3 aces. Kill leaders were Courtney Sees with 15 and Lila Vanderlei with 6. Dig leaders were Lila Vanderlei with 10, Lexi Vanderlei had 9 and Jordyn Voigt put down 7.

Avon Pirates hosted Corsica/ Stickney for some Friday nightfootballactionwheretook the win 22-8. First quarter found Aziah Meyer once again putting a touchdown on the scoreboard after a 41 yard pass from QuarterbackTylerTjeerdsma. He finished this drive with a successful 2-point conversion.

Andes Central/Dakota Christain volleyball team defeated Tripp-Delmont-Armour in 4 sets on Tuesday, September 19 on home court.

On September 18th, the Platte-Geddes/Andes Central /Dakota Christian Black Panthers competed at the Competitive Cheer Wagner Invitational. There were three other teams that participated in the invitational the Wagner Red Raiders, the Gregory Lady Gorillas and the Winner Area Warriors.

Red Raiders spoiled Scotland/ Menno’s homecoming with a 50-0 win on Friday night moving the record to 4-1 on the season. Defensively the Red Raiders were stout. Holding Scotland to 30 rushing yards and 11 passing yards in a great all around team effort. The offense was clicking on Friday.

Wagner Community School (WCS) welcomed a new 4th grade teacher, Courtney Sattler, for the 2023-2024 school year. Courtney was born and raised in the Sioux Falls/Harrisburg area.

On September 18th, the Wagner Middle School football team hosted the Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central (WWSC) Middle School football team. Wagner struggled through the first half of the game with a score of 8 to 20.
