Athletes from the Wagner Waves Swim Team competed at the 2023 AAU Junior Olympics from July 27th - 30th in Des Moines, IA as part of the James River Valley League Team along with other athletes from the league and over 600 national and international athletes.

On Monday, July 24, Wagner’s Post 7913 VFW 16U Teener team began their post-season play against Tri-Valley at Jack Hennies Field.

Eight swimmers are participating with the JRVL Swim Team at the 2023 AAU Junior Olympics in Des Moines, IA on July 27-30.

18 of Avon’s swimmers captured individual high point trophies at the championship meet.

On Tuesday, July 18, the Wagner Legion Post 11 baseball team took to Blue Bird Field in Tabor to begin their region tournament play against the team from Parkston. After a scoreless first inning Parkston used two hits to plate a run in the top of the 2nd inning.

Monday,July10Avon18playedintheLMVLeagueTournament in Menno. In the first round Avon played Menno. Avon got out to a fast start and scored every inning leading to a 9-0 victory. Leading hitter for Avon was Lydia Yost who had 2 singles, a double, and 2 RBI.
