On Monday, June 12, Mt. Vernon-Plankinton came to Wagner for two teener games at Jack Hennies Field. Things did not go well for the 14U team as Wagner would fall by a score of 15-6. And the score was not as close as those numbers might indicate.

On Tuesday, June 13, Wagner’s Post 11 Legion team traveled to Gregory. Carter Cournoyer would be the pitcher of record as he would go 5.1 innings giving up five runs, two of which were earned, on ten hits while walking two and striking out five.

Week four of racing presented by Fort Randall Casino and Hotel was all about strategy. The track was fast and tacky. The Manthey Farms Sport Compacts feature was won by Brady Dufek of Armour, SD. Not close behind was Troy Brown (Yankton, SD).

This past Saturday the Boys and Girls Basketball teams hosted their annual Golf Tourney at Randall Hills Country Club in Pickstown. It was a great turn out as it is getting bigger and bigger every year.

The Wagner Softball Team wrapped up their season with an awards night and a competitive/ fun game of softball against their parents! The parents won the game 6-4.

Wagner came out big on the Midget game against Lake Andes winning 10-1 and on top of a 5-1 score in the Peewee game in McCormick Field action Thursday night. The Midget team is coached by Todd Link and Dave Woods and the Peewees by Joel Kotab and Chris Doom. Photos by Jan Martin.
