RED RADIER JV WINS AGAIN

The Wagner boys JV continued their winning ways on Tuesday in O’Neill Nebraska. Much like Monday night it was Wagner’s fourth quarter defense that helped them win the game. Wagner was tied 1414 with O’Neill after 1 quarter and trailed 24-21 at half time.

RAIDERS TRAVEL OUT OF STATE

The Lady Raiders traveled to O’Neill to take on the Eagles last Tuesday night in girls basketball action. This would be the 3rd game in 4 days for the Raiders. That wouldn’t slow the Raiders down as they jumped out to an early 9-1 lead and rolled to a 75-27 victory.

The Lady Raiders traveled to Ethan to take on the Rustlers in girls basketball action last Monday. Wagner would have to polish off the rust after the 1st quarter as they would trail 13-14.

LADY PIRATES TAME THE BEARKATS 51-39

Avon 16 16 11 8 51 FA/M 7 11 7 14 39 Avon hosted Freeman Academy/ Marion on Tuesday, January 10th for a double-header. The Lady Pirates came out strong to take the lead and never looked back taking the win 51-39. Leading the scoring attack was Courtney Sees with 20 points.

Following the girls big win the boys took the court and played a great game but came up short as the final buzzer sounded 65-69. Landon Thury led the scoring attack with 28 points, Aziah Meyer had 18 and Trace Pelton added 10.

EIGHT WRESTLERS PLACE IN INVITATIONAL

The wrestlers from Bon Homme-Avon traveled to Colton for the Tri-Valley Invitational January 14 and placed sixth among 19 teams. Eight wrestlers placed in their respective weight class. Team points: Miller-Highmore-Harrold 172.5, Tri-Valley 158.

AC/DC THUNDER BASKETBALL RESULTS

ACDC Thunder played Mitchell-Christian Thursday night in front of their home crowd and suffered the loss 43-71. AJ Johnson led the scoring attack with 12 points, Garth Maas chipped in 10. AJ Johnson also led in rebounds, pulling down 12 with Hunter Loeffler taking down 7.

LADY THUNDER DEFEAT MITCHELL-CHRISTIAN

AC/DC 23 44 57 70 MC 7 13 17 23 Andes Central/Dakota Christian Thunder ended their week with the win over Mitchell-Christian 70-23. Allison Muckey fired in 16 points, Mahpiya Irving was just a point behind with 15, Josie Brouwer dropped in 13 and Neveah Morgan added in 7.

WRESTLERS HIT THE MAT

The Raiders competed on Thursday, January 12th in a make-up dual against Vermillion that was originally scheduled for December 15th. Wagner capped its first dual victory win of the season 48-33.
