Tom Culver is the Superintendent, Athletic Director and is also the head football coach for the Avon School District. Mr. Culver has been with Avon for the last 24 years, all of which, he has been coaching football. His life outside of schoolisspentvisitinghisgrand kids and also playing golf.

Avon hosted the undefeated Alcester/ Hudson Cubs Friday night andwelcomedBradyBieremaback to the line up. The first few plays hadBieremaanxiouslyawaitingto get on the field and be part of the action and when he hit the field, he came to play and quickly went to work to help his team.

The Avon Lady Pirates competed at the Great Plains Conference TournamentonSaturday,October 1st in Lake Andes. Avon 10 6 Burke 25 25 Courtney Sees put down 2 kills and dug up 7 digs. Macey Voigt had 9 digs, and McKenna had 2 set assists.

On Friday, September 30th the Andes Central/Dakota Christian/Tripp-Delmont/Armour Thunderhawks varsity football team lost their home conference game against Deuel, Clear Lake, Cardinals by a score of 50-0. Their next game will be against Jim River at Scotland on Friday, October 7th.

JV player of the game was Nadia Van Zuidam and JH player of the game was Cheyenne Seims. Claire Johnson was varsity player of the game. Fans of the game Ty Garcia, Kashton Garcia, Ruger Loeffler and Cindy Mengenhauser.

The Andes Central/Dakota Christian defeated Colome in four close sets on Tuesday, September 27. The set scores were 16-25, 25-18, 25-13, 25-22.

The Wagner Volleyball team traveled to Hanson on Tuesday, September 27th. The Varsity and JV came away with wins and the C team split 1-1 due to time restraints. The varsity put up a solid win with scores of 25-14, 25-16 and 25-16.

On Saturday, October 1st the Lady Raiders went up against the Tri-Valley Mustangs. After a fun morning of traditional team bonding the Raiders came out ready to play and earned another tally in the win column with scores of 25-8, 25-17, and 25-17.
