Wagner Building & Supply held their second annual golf tournament on Saturday, July 18 at the WBS Open, which was located at Randall Hills Golf Course in Pickstown. The much-needed rain didn't allow for golfers to complete a full 18 holes, but many golfers walked away with cash and prizes!

The Youth Baseball All-Star game was held last Tuesday, July 12 in Springfield. The area teams each selected two players from each age division to participate in the three evening games. From Avon, Hudson Sees and Daxton Fathke were selected to play in the Wee Pee (8U) game.

Haden received an award from the Avon Swim Team for all of his years of dedication to the program. He has been out for swim team for the past nine years and he swam his final races this past week!

The Swimmer of the Year award is an award is given to an individual that is dedicated, hard working, has a positive attitude, and is an overall competitor in the sport of swimming. Tyler was nominated by his coaches and received the most votes from other coaches. Congratulations, Tyler!

The Zion Lutheran Youth Group attended the LCMS National Youth Gathering in Houston, Texas from July 7th – 13th. The ten youth group members attended a South Dakota event, bible studies, themed breakout sessions, and mass events to celebrate how God is “In All Things”.

As a clinical professor at my state’s medical school, I frequently have medical students seeing patients with me in clinic. While the majority of patients are happy to allow student involvement, some decline.
