On Friday, July 12, Wagner’s Post 11 Legion team played host for the third time of the week and it did turn out to be the charm as the bats finally awakened and we were able to defeat Mt. Vernon- Plankinton-Corsica-Stickney by a score of 12-2.

On Monday, July 8, the Post 7319 Teeners of Wagner hosted Corsica-Stickney in 14U and 16U action at Hennies Field. Colton Zephier got the nod and spun four well-pitched innings as Wagner topped the visitors by a count of 6-2. It would take Zephier 62 pitches to complete those innings.

Southeast Elite 11 Vermillion 1 On Tuesday night, the Southeast Elite traveled to Vermillion to take on the Vermillion Flamze. In the first game the Elite scored 5 runs in the top of the first.

Avon 18U played host to Menno Monday, July 1st in their final regular season matchup. In game one both teams got off to a slow start but it was Avon who took advantage of walks and hits in the 2nd inning to break open the scoring.

On Tuesday, July 2, Wagner’s Post 11 Legion team traveled to Dimock to take on Parkston. Things just did not come together this night as Wagner would fall by the score of 7-3. Our pitching was decent, although a few less walks could have made it easier on our defense. The defense was solid.

On Monday, July 1, Wagner’s Post 7319 14U and 16U teener teams played host to Scotland-Menno on an unusually cool, drizzly day. The 14U team would start first and, while playing better, still found themselves on the short end of a 6-3 score.
