Mila Hopkins would round out the scoring with 2 points, 2 boards and 2 assists. Overall the Raider would shoot 26-54 for 48% while holding the trappers to 7-40 for 18%. Wagner once again dominated the glass with a 39-17 margin while committing 13 turnovers compared to 23 from the Trappers. “We started off slow the first half missing lots of good looks. We shot only 41% the first half so we did a much better job of finishing shots in the second half to bring that up to 48%. Defensively we did another great job of challenging and contesting shots, limiting them to 1 shot per possession. It was nice to see a lot of the younger kids get thrown into the fire tonight. Great opportunities for them to see what they have to do to play even at a higher level. We now enter the last 1/3 of the regular season. Need to keep getting a little better every game.”

Hayden Knudsen would tally 7 points, 2 boards and 2 steals. Clarah Soukup would add 3 points off the bench while Hannah Holzbauer would finish with 2 points, 6 boartds, and dish out a team high 7 assists. “Another really good opponent who was playing great. We were firing on almost every cylinder tonight. We needed to control the glass and we out rebounded them by 27. We needed to keep them out of the paint and we did that after the first quarter. We only let 2 people score the second half which is phenomenal team defense. We also didn’t score the first 3 minutes of the second half which we have to be able to be a little more efficient on the offensive end. We got some good looks just didn’t hit but then put up 29 the rest of the way and got running clock on a team that was 9-2 and has beat some really good teams. We had a lot of girls do all the little things that really don’t show up on stat sheets and that’s why the margin of victory was what it was. Great team win against a very good opponent!”
