Funeral service for Beatrice Scarborough, 52, of Lake Andes were held Tuesday, March 19 at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Burial was in Cedar Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Lake Andes. Wake services began Sunday at the White Swan Center.

Mildred A. Slama, age 92, of Yankton, South Dakota, died Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Avera Sr. James Care Center in Yankton.   Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Monday, March 25, 2019 at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home with Reverend Dani Jo Bierwagen officiating.

Funeral services for Norma Laberee will be held Thursday, March 14 at 11 a.m., at the United Methodist Church in Wagner, with Pastor Laurie Kidd, officiating. Interment is in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Visitation will be the hour prior to services at the church.

James A. Johanneson, 70, died at Wagner Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner on Sunday, March 10. Visitation will be Saturday, March 16 from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m., at Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Lake Andes. There will be a private family service on Saturday, March 16 at 2:00 p.m., at Koehn Bros.

Funeral services for Doris Hall, 85, of Corsica will be held Saturday, March 16 at 10:30 a.m., at the Grace Reformed Church in Corsica. Burial is in Graceland Cemetery in Mitchell. Visitation will be at the church on Friday with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m.

Ervin E. Palmer was born January 8, 1931, in Wessington Springs, to Elbert and Mary (Dey) Palmer. Ervin grew up on the farm with his brothers and sisters. He graduated from Wessington Springs High School in 1949. On November 13, 1950, Ervin was united in marriage to Ethelyn “Sallie” Kjeldseth.

Wake services for Norman “Jiggs” Kelly, 90, of Lake Andes were held Thursday at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wagner. A private funeral mass will be held with burial in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Wagner, with Military Honors.

Wayne Augustine, 62, of Wagner, was born May 5, 1956 at Salt Lake City, UT the son of Stanley and Hazel (Wilhelm) Augustine. He died Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner. Wayne was raised in Pocatello, ID.

Ashley Jovell Bruguier, 30, of Lake Andes “Tasina Hla Hla Win” entered this world on August 10, 1988 at Minneapolis, MN to Joe Gullikson and Questa Feather. She has four sisters: Deidre, Kristi, Brieanne, Autumn and two brothers: Adrian and Jeffrey.
