John Wilson Cooke, Sr., 71, of Wagner died Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Funeral services were Tuesday, October 30 at the National Guard Armory in Wagner. Burial was in the Holy Fellowship Episcopal Cemetery, rural Greenwood, with military honors.

Ray Chris Cuny, Jr., 53, of Lake Andes died Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner. Wake services began Friday at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Funeral services were Sunday at the Community Center. Burial was in the Episcopal Cemetery in Crow Creek.

Kathryne (Kaye) Rose (Efta) Metteer was born to James and Lillian (Wagner) Efta on Sept 24, 1923 and was the first of 15 children. At age six her family moved to Tabor, then settled in Wagner, where she finished her secondary education and worked at Fred Conger's Café.

Funeral services for Alvin Burfeindt were held on Saturday, October 13, at St. John Lutheran Church in Tyndall with Rev. Dean Schroeder officiating. Burial with military honors followed at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Avon.
