A PERSON TO KNOW – LORI BOUZA

Lori Bouza has been a resident of Wagner for the past 39 years. She has been a part of the Wagner community since 1985 when she took her first teaching position as an elementary teacher at the Wagner Community School.

70TH ANNUAL SD PICNIC FEBRUARY 24TH

The 70th annual SD Picnic in Florida will be held February 24 at 12 noon at the Grace Lutheran Church fellowship hall in Lakeland, FL. All former South Dakotans, either permanent or seasonal residents are invited to attend with their family.

AVON'S NEW CITY POLICE OFFICER

Avon’s police force has a new enlistee. Officer Theodore Smith took the Officer/Chief position October 30th of 2023. Officer Smith has ten years of experience in law enforcement. Prior to taking the position in Avon, he was working for the Winner City Jail as a transport officer.

MITCHELL TECH ANNOUNCES FALL 2023 PRESIDENT’S LIST

MITCHELL, January 9, 2024—A total of 356 Mitchell Technical College students earned recognition on the Fall 2023 President’s List, according to MTC President Mark Wilson. To be named to the list, students must earn a term Grade Point Average of at least 3.5 on a 4.

PREPARATIONS CONTINUE FOR 2024 EASTER CANTATA

The Bon Homme Community Choir will be meeting soon to start preparing for the 2024 Easter Cantata. The choir has been gathering together for 85 years in the Lords name to tell the Easter Story through narration and song.
