A Celebration of Life visitation for John Einrem, 62, of Springfield, will be held at Peters Funeral Chapel in Springfield from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, May 30. Inurnment will be at the Norwegian Cemetery, rural Avon.

Memorial Services for Richard Dean Jones, Sr. 78, of Springfield, were held on Friday, May 22 at the United Church of Christ in Springfield. Burial was in the Springfield Cemetery with military honors. Peters Funeral Chapel in Springfield was in charge of arrangements.

Bertha Marks, 69, died Saturday, May 9, 2026 at her home in Vancouver, WA. Funeral services were May 21 at The Lighthouse in Wagner. Burial was in the Greenwood Presbyterian Cemetery.

A visitation was held for Robert Becvar, 69, of Tyndall on Saturday, May 23 at Peters Funeral Home in Wagner. Burial was in St. Leo's Catholic Cemetery in Tyndall.Robert Daniel Becvar was born June 24, 1958 to Daniel and Helen (Herout) Becvar.

A Celebration of Life for Juanita Rose St. Pierre, 74, of Dante, was held on Thursday, May 21 at the Greenwood Community Center in Greenwood.

Jerry Kirchhevel of Geddes, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. He was born on November 2, 1938, in Lake Andes, to Chris and Meta Kirchhevel.Jerry was a lifelong resident of the Geddes area and held a deep connection to the community he called home.

Martin “Marty” John Boese, 75, went to his heavenly home Monday, March 2, 2026 at his home near Geddes. Funeral arrangements are pending at this time. A celebration of Martin’s life will be held Saturday, May 30 at 1:00 pm at the Geddes Community Center in Geddes. Arrangements by Koehn Bros.

Services for Bessie Cante Wastewin Weddell, 43, of Marty, were held Saturday, May 16 at the YST South Community Gym in Wagner. Burial was in the Greenwood Presbyterian Cemetery.

Funeral Mass for Edward Novak will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 22 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wagner. Inurnment will be in the Wagner Cemetery with military honors.

Gary Lee Frank, 78, of Avon, died Saturday, May 2, 2026, at St. Benedict Health Center in Parkston. Funeral service was held Thursday, May 7 at Friedens Reformed.
