WAGNER DEFEATS BERESFORD

Wagner Spring Varsity defeated Beresford 21-2 on Monday thanks in part to Matt Link, who drove in four runners. LINK drove in runs on a single in the third and a single in the fourth. Wagner Spring Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning.

WAGNER FALLS TO SCOTLAND

Wagner Spring Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 4-0 loss to Scotland (SD) on Sunday. Scotland (SD) took the lead on an error in the second inning. In the second inning, Scotland (SD) got their offense started. An error scored one run for Scotland (SD).

WAGNER SNAGS A WIN OVER PARKER

Wagner Spring Varsity snagged a late lead and defeated Parker (SD) 16-6 on Sunday. The game was tied at six with Wagner Spring Varsity batting in the bottom of the fifth when Hunter Loeffler singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

WAGNER TRACK RESULTS

On Tuesday, May 2, Wagner traveled to Armour to compete in the LMVC track meet. Both teams would end up in third place at the end of the day. The girls had one event champion of the day and that was Ashlyn Koupal as she cleared 4’8” to win the high jump.

WAGNER RED RAIDERS DROP GAME TO BERESFORD

The Wagner Red Raiders lost the lead late in a 12-7 defeat to the Beresford Watchdogs on Friday May 5th. The game was tied at six with Beresford batting in the bottom of the fifth when the Watchdogs scored on a stolen base.

RED RAIDERS SPLIT WITH BEAVERS

On Monday May 1st, the Wagner Red Raiders hosted the Hanson Beavers for a double header. Hanson opened up the scoring in the first game, tallying two runs in the first inning, but Wagner answered with two when Sydney Cournoyer singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

PIRATES SUFFER TOUGH LOSS TO VIBORG-HURLEY

The Lady Pirates dropped a slugfest to Viborg-Hurley by the score of 26-22. Pitchers for the Pirates were Macy Voigt and Karlie DeVries. Leading hitters were Macy Voigt with 2 hits and 6 RBI’s including a homerun, Rilyn Thury with 3 hits and 7 RBIs. Kenna Kocmich scored 6 runs for the pirates.

LADY PIRATES LOSE TO CAVALIERS

The Avon Lady Pirates were defeated by the Bon Homme Cavaliers by a score of 19-5. Pitchers for the pirates were Macy Voigt, Karlie DeVries and Courtney Sees. Leading hitters for the lady pirates were McKenna Kocmich with two hits and two RBI’s and Ashley Tolsma with one hit and 1 RBI.
