LADY RAIDERS PUT AWAY CUBS IN 3 SETS

The Raider Volleyball team took on the Chamberlain Cubs on Thursday, September 1st. The girls came out ready to play and it showed. Scores of the match were 25-5, 25-6, and 25-8. Emma Yost led all hitters with 8 kills while Avari Bruguier and Shalayne Nagel had 6 and 5 kills respectively.

The Avon Pirates (2-0) came away with the Homecoming victory on Friday night with a final score of 52-6. 24 16 6 6 52 6 0 0 0 6 In the first quarter, Jaden Stahl ran for 49 yards for the first Pirate touchdown with a two point conversion by Cade Faulkner.

HANSON EARLY BIRD TOURNAMENT

The Avon Lady Pirates hit the road for their first matches, traveling to Hanson for the Annual Early bird Tournament. In the first game on Tuesday, August 23, Avon faced Freeman Academy/Marionandwonintwo matches.

WAGNER RAIDERS CROSS COUNTRY STARTS SEASON

The 2022 Wagner Cross Country Season started off with a bang! The word 'bang' is one that can be taken 100% literally. Yes, it was a crazy weather morning at the opening season Mitchell Cross Country Meet on Saturday, August 27th.

LADY RAIDERS VICTORIOUS OVER VERMILLION IN SEASON OPENER

The Wagner Volleyball team swept the Vermillion Tanagers at all three levels on Thursday, August 25th. It was a great way to start our season and the girls showed they were ready to compete. Varsity came away with a 3-0 win with scores of 25-14, 25-13, and 25-15.

RED RAIDERS FOOTBALL

The Wagner Red Raiders traveled to Winner to take on the number one ranked Warriors last Friday night. The Warriors came out on top 52-12. The Raiders continue to improve, but the quantity of good team play needs to become consistent.

WAGNER VOLLEYBALL SHINES AT PARKSTON TOURNAMENT

Both the JV and Varsity teams traveled to Parkston on Saturday, August 27th. The JV team came home with first place by defeating Parkston (25-17, 28-26), McCook Central/Montrose (25-20, 25-17), Warner (25-23, 20-25, 15-11), and Northwestern (24-26, 25-23, 15-5).

BOYS GOLF COMPETES AT DELL RAPIDS

On Monday, August 22nd the Wagner Boys Golf team traveled to Dell Rapids to take on the Rocky Run golf course. The boys once again battled a competitive field of golfers but gained valuable knowledge about how to read greens and club distance.
