On Wednesday, August 24th the Wagner Boys Golf team traveled to Dakota Dunes in Sioux City to compete at the Dakota Valley Invitational. After a short weather delay the boys played in damp conditions for the early hours of the meet.

' The final week of racing presentedbyFortRandallCasino and Hotel was packed and our champions were named. The Manthey Farms Sport Compacts feature was won by Taylor Brown (Yankton). Not close behind was Aaron Wilson (Armour). Rounding out the top threewasBradyDufek(Armour).

'The Avon Teeners finished theirseasoninlateJulywithawin over Letcher 14 to 7, and losses in theregiontournamenttoGregory and Corsica/Stickney.

The Avon Pirates hit the road for their first game of the season, traveling to Colome to face the Cowboys on Friday, August 19. The game leader in rushing yards was senior, Jaden Stahl with six carries and 94 yards. Senior, Cade Faulkner had one touchdown and ran for 72 yards.

Andes Central/Dakota Christian/Tripp/Delmont/Armour Thunderhawks kicked off their football season with a 44-8 win over Hill City on Saturday, August 20th on their home field.They will head to Redcloud to take on Lakota Tech this Saturday, August 27th at 2:00 p.m.

On Monday, August 15th the Wagner boys’ varsity golf team competed in the West Central Early Bird Invitational. In the first competitive event of the year the boys battled the cold and rain for most of the day. The boys competed against some of the best golfers in class A and finished as follows.
