LADY THUNDER DEFEAT CORSICA/STICKNEY

Andes Central/ Dakota Christian traveled to Corsica where they defeated Corsica/ Stickney by 4 points with a final score of 51-45. Josie Brouwer led the scoreboard with 19 points, Mahpiya Irving added 17 and Halle Olson had 6.

WAGNER BOYS DEFEAT O’NEILL

The Wagner boys basketball team had their best performance of the season Tuesday night defeating a very good O’Neill team. The Raiders fell behind 19-18 after the first period and trailed by 9 at half time 40-31.

WAGNER FALLS TO PARKSTON

The Raiders played Parkston at home Thursday night. Wagner trailed 16-15 after the first period and 29-23 heading into halftime. The boys tied the game late 49-49 but never got a lead and lost 56-53. Carter Cournoyer had his second straight double double scoring 17 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.

WAGNER HOSTS OUT OF STATE OPPONENT O’NEILL

The Lady Raiders hosted the O’Neill Eagles last Tuesday night in girls basketball action. Wagner would jump out to an early 7-0 lead and hold a 21-15 edge after the first quarter.

After a much anticipated wait due to Old Man Winter, the Lady Raiders and Lady Tornado’s finally got to meet up at the Corn Palace last Friday night which featured 3 games from the Hanson Classic that was postponed on January 13th.

WAGNER BON HOMME PLACES 7TH AT CLASS AA INVITE

Wagner Bon Homme gymnasts competed in their first ever class AA invite. The girls were fun to watch. Surrounded by AA gymnasts, they stepped on to each event with confidence. Bars: Alexys Rueb scored an 8.175 and placed 7th, Jasmine Gilbert scored a 7.60, Addison Cuka scored a 5.

Wagner Community School Senior Spotlight – Vincent Bechen Vincent Bechen is one of this week’s spotlighted WCS Seniors. Vincent is the son of James and Amanda Bechen. Vincent’s nicknames are Vince and Vinny.

WAGNER RED RAIDERS DEFEAT BON HOMME 65-51

The Red Raiders got a big night from Carter Cournoyer on Friday night in Tyndall. The senior forward scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lift the Raiders to a 65-51 road victory. Carter scored 12 of his 22 in the final period.
