Jerry F. Novotny, 81, of Gresham, Oregon, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026. There will be a funeral at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Lake Andes at 11 a.m. on July 11. Jerry Francis Novotny was born Dec. 12, 1944 in Long Beach, California to A.M. (Pete) and Ida Novotny.

Janet Justina Lassen passed away Monday February 9, 2026, in San Andreas, Ca. at the age of 83. She was born on July 29, 1942 in Wagner to Walter and Jennie Wollman.

Richard (Dick) Barta was born June 12, 1932, in Wagner to John and Bernice (Mitchell) Barta, the youngest of five siblings: Leota, Cletus, Don, and Eileen.

Aaron Lee Wyman was born September 15, 1975 in Muncie, Indiana to Forrest (Woody) and Wilma Wyman. Aaron attended special education classes in Muncie from pre-K through 12th grade. Aaron passed away at Littleton Adventist Hospital in Littleton, Colorado on January 14, 2026.

Funeral services for Alvin Uecker, 92, of Wagner were Wednesday, February 11 at St. John Lutheran Church in Wagner. Burial was in the Wagner Cemetery. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Shirley Mary Ridgway of Beulah, WY, was born on February 27, 1938, in their country home in Wagner, daughter of Albert, Sr. and Pearl (Bradley). She passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 5th, at Lookout Memorial Hospital in Spearfish.

Funeral services for Duane Tjeerdsma, 90, of Springfield were held Monday, February 9 at the Emmanuel Reformed Church in Springfield. Burial was in the Emmanuel Cemetery, rural Springfield. Peters Funeral Home in Springfield was in charge of arrangements.

Leonard Provost, 62, of Wagner, died Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Wagner Community Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Thursday, February 5 at the Holy Fellowship Episcopal Church in Wagner. Burial was in the Holy Fellowship Cemetery, Greenwood.
